28-Year-Old CT Man Killed After Audi Crashes Down Embankment, Police Say

A 28-year-old man was killed in Connecticut after losing control of his Audi and crashing down an embankment, state police said.

Hartford County resident Scudder Evans, of Marlborough, was driving on Route 2 east of exit 9 in Glastonbury at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 14, when he lost control of an 2016 Audi A6 that belonged to a family member.

Police said that Evans lost control of the Audi, entered a grassy median to the left of the roadway, went down an embankment, collided with a group of trees before coming to an uncontrolled final rest upright among the trees in the median.

Evans suffered serious injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The disabled Audi was towed from the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
